A bit of a mixed bag

I finally decided to get a subscription for The Economist after seeing some articles shared around online. Ordering the digital subscription was pretty straightforward on their website, no real issues there. The content quality is, as expected, quite good – well-researched and insightful, which is what I was looking for. My main gripe is with the app experience. It's not bad, but it feels a little clunky sometimes, especially when trying to save articles or navigate older issues. I had to contact support once about an issue with my login on a new device, and it took them about three days to get back to me, which felt a bit slow. Overall, it's a decent service for the content, but the user experience could definitely use some polish.

YES! Finally got my Economist fix!

OMG, I've been wanting to subscribe to The Economist for AGES! Finally pulled the trigger and got a digital subscription, and I'm so stoked! Navigating the website to pick my plan was a breeze, super intuitive. I got the full digital access and it's just amazing to have all that insightful content right at my fingertips. I mean, I'm already diving deep into articles I wouldn't have even known about otherwise! Only tiny, tiny thing was the confirmation email took like, a whole 15 minutes to land in my inbox, which felt like forever when I was so excited, haha! But once it came, everything was smooth sailing. Definitely shopping here again, and seriously, telling all my friends they NEED to get on this. What a brilliant resource!

Good for staying informed

Finally decided to give The Economist a try after seeing their articles pop up everywhere. I went for the digital subscription, and honestly, the content is top-notch. It's really well-researched and covers a lot of ground, which is exactly what I was looking for to keep up with global events. The app works pretty well on my tablet, easy to navigate through articles. My only minor gripe is sometimes the website can be a little slow to load on my older laptop, but it's not a deal-breaker. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the value for money, considering the depth of analysis you get.

Good digital subscription

I got the Digital Subscription. It was easy to set up. Access to articles is quick. No issues so far with the app, it works fine on my old phone. Content is useful for work.

Decent value for first-time buyer

I bought the Digital Subscription after seeing the introductory offer for 12 weeks. Price was very good, almost 90% off the usual rate which was a big saving. It felt worth trying since it wasn't much money for the first few months. The content is what I expected, detailed international news. I still feel it was practical good value for a foreign magazine subscription.

Good content, small hiccup

I finally decided to get a digital subscription to The Economist after reading a few articles shared by a friend. The ordering process on their website was straightforward enough, I chose the annual digital-only plan. I got the confirmation email pretty fast, which was good. My only slight issue was that it took about 24 hours for my account to fully activate and for me to access all the premium content. I logged in right after subscribing but couldn't get past some paywalls immediately, which was a bit annoying. I ended up emailing support, and they replied the next morning explaining it can take a little time for new accounts to sync up. Once it was active, though, the content quality is exactly what I expected – well-researched articles and insightful analysis. The mobile app works great on my phone, very easy to navigate. Overall, happy with the purchase, just wish the activation was instant.

Decent, but could be better value

I finally decided to try The Economist subscription after seeing a few of their articles shared online. As someone who's always looking for the best bang for my buck, I was hoping to snag a really good discount. They had some offers, but nothing that felt like a massive steal, you know? I went for a digital subscription, thinking it'd be the most cost-effective. The content itself is pretty solid, very in-depth analysis, which I appreciate. But when I look at the recurring cost, I keep thinking about what else I could get for that money. It's good, don't get me wrong, but I'm not entirely convinced it's the absolute best value out there compared to some other news sources that offer similar depth for less or have better introductory deals. It's a mixed bag for me.

Always reliable for global news

Been subscribing to The Economist for years now, probably my fifth or sixth renewal through their site. It's always a pretty straightforward process, usually just a few clicks to extend the digital access. I remember one time, a couple of years back, the auto-renewal didn't quite kick in right, and I had to manually go through it, which was a minor hiccup. But since then, it's been smooth sailing. I keep coming back because the quality of the journalism is just consistently high. You know what you're getting, no surprises there. The insights are always spot on, especially for international affairs. It's my go-to for keeping up without getting bogged down in sensationalism. Definitely worth it for the depth of analysis you get.

Always reliable for my Economist fix

Been using The Economist's online store for my subscriptions for years now, and honestly, it's just consistently good. My first few orders, I was a bit hesitant with digital subscriptions, but they've always delivered exactly what I signed up for, without any fuss. This latest renewal was no different. The content is top-notch, as expected, and the process to renew was super smooth, just like previous times. No weird billing surprises or anything. It's why I keep coming back, really. They just make it easy.

Good value for keeping up to date

I was looking for a good news source that wouldn't break the bank, especially with all the subscription prices going up everywhere. The Economist popped up when I was comparing a few options. I managed to snag a pretty decent introductory offer for a digital subscription, which felt like a real win. It's not often you get quality journalism at a price that feels genuinely affordable. I've been reading it for a couple of weeks now, and the articles are really in-depth. Feels like I'm getting a lot for what I paid. Definitely worth the purchase if you're budget-conscious but still want top-tier analysis. I'll probably renew if they offer a similar deal.

Thinking of getting a Digital + Print bundle. Anyone know if the digital subscription gives full archive access or just current stuff?

N Nris Official 1 month ago
Pretty sure full archive is included with any paid digital access. I use it to look up old articles all the time.
